研究領域蛍光顕微鏡を用いた血小板の活性化および血小板血栓のリアルタイムイメージング
研究紹介

エコノミークラス症候群のように、長時間ずっと同じ姿勢で座り込んでいると血液循環が悪くなり、血栓ができやすくなります。血小板は怪我をした時など血管内で血栓をつくり止血をする働きをしますが、その血栓も過剰にできれば心筋梗塞や肺梗塞などかえって人にダメージを与えることになります。血栓形成には血球細胞(特に赤血球と血小板)と凝固因子、そして血流の3条件が必須です。本研究ではヒト、または動物の血液を用いて、血流条件下で血小板血栓の成長過程を蛍光顕微鏡でイメージングします。どのような食物を摂取したときに血小板血栓の形成に影響を及ぼすのか、血栓予防につながるのかを研究しています。
