研究領域ヒト免疫不全ウイルス(HIV)感染症の病態生理の解明、ストレス存在下での造血幹前駆細胞の動態の解明、マウスにおける赤白血病発症機構の解明
研究紹介

HIVに対するT細胞免疫応答の観察経験より、免疫系の設計(再帰性、並列性、キャッシュ機構)の理解を進めている。また、HIV感染における造血幹前駆細胞の動態を理解することにより、後天性免疫不全症候群(エイズ)のより良い定義を試みている。これまでにエイズワクチン開発(サルエイズモデル)、ウイルス特異的CD8陽性T細胞応答、抗HIV遺伝子治療(ヒト化マウスモデル)、造血幹前駆細胞動態に関する論文を出版している。

Research IntroductionTetsuo Tsukamoto is a researcher looking for methods to better understand HIV's interaction with the host from the point of view of the immune system design. He has published studies on HIV vaccine development using rhesus macaques, HIV-specific CD8+ T-cell responses, anti-HIV gene therapy using humanized mice, and hematopoietic stem/progenitor cell dynamics in HIV infection.
